Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies

a 120-credit ministry program, designed for home-study and self-paced mode. Partially funded by Open Christian Ministries.

Program Overview

This program consists of 20 courses, each course bearing 6 semester credit hours, i.e., 120 taught credits, designed for home study leading. Students have access to self-study materials for reading on a self-paced model and are prepared to take the course exams at their own pace. The recommended pace is to take a course every six weeks, which would allow you to take all 20 courses in about three years.

As a student you are required to read all chapters of the books of the Bible assigned, study the corresponding textbook notes, and successfully complete the 50-question exam. You can submit one course at a time or choose to submit multiple courses at once depending on your convenience.

Program Structure

The student explores each Bible book from Genesis to Revelation to complete the program in four stages as follow:

  • A student receives a Certificate in Biblical Studies after completing the first 5 courses, i.e., upon completion of 30 semester credits.
  • The following 5 courses lead to wards of an associate degree (Diploma) in Biblical Studies, which is the successful completion of 60 credits.
  • After successfully completing 90 semester credits, or completion of 15 courses, the student then obtains an Ordinary Bachelor's Degree in Bible studies.
  • The final program milestone consists of successfully completing the 20 program modules, or obtaining 120 credits, to obtain an honors bachelor's degree in Bible studies.
